Shayne Gill, Program Director for Multimodal Transportation
September 7th – 10th
Executive Director Don Hunt and the Colorado Department of Transportation graciously hosted the 2014 NationalMeeting of the AASHTO Standing Committee on Rail Transportation (SCORT) in Denver, Colorado.
The Standing Committee on Rail Transportation (SCORT) addresses all policy, regulatory, safety and enforcement issues impacting the ability of States to develop and maintain their portions of an efficient national freight and passenger rail transportation network.
The 2014 National Meeting addressed critical and timely issues like: Rail safety, crude by rail, MAP-21 implementation and reauthorization, PRIIA reauthorization, Class I and Short Line freight railroad industry issues, as well as updates from Federal regulatory agencies and national partners such as the FRA and Amtrak.
AASHTO and SCORT could not hold a successful meeting without the generous support of its national and local sponsors. Thank you to all of the vendors who made the 2014 SCORT National Meeting a success.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT HOURS (PDH) PROGRAM
SCORT is pleased to participate in AASHTO’s Professional Development Hours (PDH) program.
