February 19-22, 2019
Washington, DC
Each winter, the Council on Rail convenes in Washington, D.C. for a legislative update. During the meeting, state rail officials will have the opportunity to engage with key Federal, Congressional, and rail industry leaders, as well as Class I and Short Line Freight rail partners, Amtrak, public and private sector rail advocacy groups and others. As freight rail, inter-modal transportation and passenger rail needs at the state and regional level continue to grow and change, this meeting will give members an opportunity to learn more about what is transpiring in Washington. This meeting is also a forum in which members have the opportunity to influence its direction and to exchange information on issues vital to maintaining a strong rail system in support of economic growth and competitiveness.
