SCORT is making updates to the 2009 AASHTO Best Practices for State Rail Planning and we want to hear from you!  Please take a moment to complete this brief survey.



The Passenger Rail Improvement and Investment Act of 2008 (PRIIA) requires all states seeking federal assistance for rail improvements to submit a State Rail Plan (49 USC Chapter 227). 

States have developed stand alone state rail plans, mul​ti-modal freight plans, or integrate rail planning into their overall Surface Transportation Improvement Plans (STIP).
